Hi, my name is PAUL DRURY.

I'd like to tell you who I am and what I do.

​

A Professional engineer, qualified in Engineering and Engineering Systems, with 25+ years experience in manufacturing organisations.  Experience in start-up and large mutli-national, matrixed-organisations, and navigating high-growth, turn-around, re-organisational and business rationalisation challenges.

I design and execute programs that deliver business strategy, technology and business model transformations, business process optimisation, product developments, new product launches and technical due diligence.

My successes include:

18 years with Xaar where I held roles with responsibility for technology development, device and product design, management of partners and licensees, technology transfer and group IP  A high-growth environment (Start-Up to FTE250 listing) and a successful transition in business model from technology licensing to EU (UK and SE) based manufacturer.

​

A CTO role with VC backed DataLase where I delivered strategy and increased organisational value by creating targeted roadmaps, forging strong partnerships and seeing the DataLase teams deliver against their plans.  The business was acquired by the SATO group in 2017.

​

6 years with Marel hf leading the UK business unit and R&D function responsible for a large portfolio of software and electro-mechanical products serving worldwide markets.  Large custom solutions and CAPEX projects into existing customer sites or green/brown field locations.  Drove a strategy targeting new revenue streams from licensed software and introduced Edge and Cloud solutions, enabling customer applications, Service support tools and technical  insights.

I help organisations to plan and deliver customer value as early and frequently as possible. To create high performing teams I focus on customer-centricity, change leadership and process improvement.
